connect & serve

We were not designed to do life on our own.

The relationships we develop on Sunday mornings are great. However we believe it is vitally important to add to our Sunday mornings a time to meet in small groups during the week for the purpose of really getting to know people on a deeper level by sharing our hearts and being accountable in our faith-walk with others.

The culture we live in tends to isolate us from each other.  We are called to walk alongside one another, and from that point we can venture out and serve our community and our world.

We have many small groups (10-12 people) meeting in homes during the week.  Sometimes we do a church-wide  Bible Study on one topic, and sometimes each group chooses a Bible study to do that meets the needs of where they are at in life at the time. This is where relationships are formed and you learn how to "do life" with one another.

Our VOG Volunteers

We have such a great group of volunteers who selflessly give of their time and talents to make the ministry at Vision of Glory happen. We couldn't do what we do here without them.  We have volunteers who work in 45 different areas! Amazing!

Each year we combine both of our services into one service and take time to honor and thank our volunteers.

The video below was part of our special Volunteer Sunday on May 22nd.

serve

A sign of a healthy walk with the Lord is going that next step and serving others. At Vision of Glory we have many ways for you to do that.

  • IN OUR CHURCH

When you are ready to plug into helping with our ministry at Vision of Glory there are many places you can help! Whether your gifts are teaching, prayer,  serving, hospitality or many others... there is a place for you here!

For more information on volunteer opportunities here at VOG contact Ann Rogers and she will connect you to the right ministry leader to get you plugged in.

  • IN OUR COMMUNITY

Vision of Glory has been a part of our community for over 50 years so we feel it's important to reach out to our community to show God's love.  We have members walking the neighborhood praying for people, holding an outdoor worship service every summer, serving in ministry in the local prisons, serving at an inner city ministry in Minneapolis, hosting a Thanksgiving meal to those who may not have a place to go that day, and many other individual ministries in our every day lives.  We also provide a ministry for addiction recovery called Jesus Sets Free every Monday evening.

If you would like more information about our plans for community outreach contact Pastor Scott.

  • AROUND THE WORLD

Vision of Glory supports many who feel the call of the Lord to serve Him overseas and to show God's love to others. Our Sr. High students have had the opportunity to work with orphans in Haiti, we have many of our young adults head off to train with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and serve all over the globe and we support missionaries both local and overseas in their work for the Lord.
