  • Three Pillars of Our Identity:

    Lutheran

We hold to the four guiding principles of the early Reformation.

    • Scripture: The Word of God in the Bible is authoritative above all other structures, systems, and authorities. II Timothy 3:16
    • Faith: We are not saved by the works that we do, but by faith in Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8-9
    • Grace: Our faith is a gift of grace — as are the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Romans 3:24
    • Christ: It is only through faith in Jesus Christ and through His saving death and resurrection that we can be saved. Acts 4:12

    Charismatic

We accept and seek the action of the Holy Spirit in our community.  This comes through the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This also comes by gifts of the Spirit including, but not limited to: prophecy, service, teaching, exhortation, generosity, leadership, mercy, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, discernment, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

    Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 12: 6-8; I Corinthians 12:7-11

    Missional

We look forward to and actively work towards God’s Kingdom coming and His will being done on earth as in heaven. We look for opportunities to share the gospel and to be Jesus’ sacrificial hands and feet in and to our families, our neighborhood, and every people group around the world.  God’s redeeming work isn’t limited to eternal life in heaven, but can start today as we seek restoration, reconciliation, justice, and healing.  Matthew 28:19-20

  • Our MAP for How We Do Ministry (Values)

    • Multigenerational: We value the faith and input of all people within our community.  We seek to have a balance of age-specific and multi-generational activities, events, and programs.  We believe that our whole community benefits from the gifts, experiences, and insights that each member can share. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
    •  Apprenticeship: We value training up each person within our community to draw out their gifts and talents and become more like Jesus.  All of us can continue to grow and strengthen our faith, gifts, and service throughout our lives. II Timothy 2:1-2
    • Priesthood of All Believers: Each person in the body of Christ is called to serve the Lord no matter our place or position in life.  This means we all have a role to play in making Christ known and connecting others to Him. I Peter 2:9
